Healthy Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

A Healthy Morning Breakfast Routine!

Struggle to find more food freedom in your daily diet? Starting the day can be a war between grabbing a healthy breakfast versus a convenient breakfast. Am I right? Healthy pumpkin spice protein breakfast smoothies is a great place to start! I always plan ahead to wake up a few minutes earlier than usual so I stay on track with my daily routine. As soon as I get lazy, I fall off the bandwagon. By nature, we all tend to get lazy and that is okay! It happens, just don’t make it a habit, right? To start, this fall pumpkin spice latte smoothie is something I dream about during my mile runs in my Orange Theory classes when I am panting, sweating, hungry and wishing I was home on the couch with one of these smoothies in each hand!

What is Kefir?

Curious? I get this question all the time. To be 100% honest, as always, I do not drink this liquid probiotic on its own. Each flavor offered has a tangy finish like plain Greek yogurt. Kefir is like a healthy drinkable yogurt filled with probiotics and some people love it straight from the jug, others as myself love to mix it with something. Whether that be chocolate, honey, coconut, and more. It’s creamy, smooth, with a sharp sour finish.

Cheesecake flavor

The plain flavor makes for a great “cheesecake” flavor to your morning breakfast smoothie or dinner replacement meal. Who doesn’t like a dessert for dinner? It is considered a low fat milk and it actually is amazing for gut health. A more natural way to help maintain a healthy gut versus taking any vitamins, etc. Just my personal preference! One serving contains 12 live and active cultures to stimulate your gut! Check out the flavors here along with all of Lifeway’s products.

Which flavor is the best?

I am always trying to get more creative with probiotic kefir products that work with my body versus against my body. Of course, everything in moderation! I love using all flavors in my kitchen. I have made peach bread pudding, chocolate pudding (gone in 60 seconds!), smoothies, “tres leches” chiffon cake, and more! You can watch it all HERE! I have partnered with them to help spread the word about how amazing this product is for a gut-friendly lifestyle. The plain kefir flavor I keep on hand because it is a neutral flavor for anything you want to make, like this pumpkin spice breakfast smoothie.

Best kefir practices

You can! Although, the probiotics burn off so you don’t get the same benefits as consuming it in its raw state, but it is a better choice to use than other items! Note, it is not a substitute for milk in your recipes but you experiment with it. I love it the best so far in my avocado banana chocolate no bake pudding recipe!

Is this kid friendly?

Absolutely! I use the farmers cheese to make a spread with goat cheese and seasonings that both kids and adults both inhaled because it was so good! Their liquid magic (kefir low fat milk) goes wonderful in anything that is a no bake dessert. I like to add protein powder to my smoothies or play naughty adding peanut butter or nutella spread to mask the flavor for kids if they tend to dislike the tangy flavor. They will never know they are sipping on some gut healthy drinks!

Pumpkin smoothie recipe

Below is the video for this smoothie, it will rock your world! Be sure and blend really well, the kefir sometimes will soak to the bottom and the top will just be the pumpkin. You want to make sure and get a little bit of each!

You can add any protein powder you like, coffee flavor is my favorite or vanilla to make it more of a “latte” feel. Use happystacie at checkout at HappyWay.Com
