- 1 medium yellow onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning recipe in blog or use a packet
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 15-oz can black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 15-oz can pinto beans drained and rinsed
- 1 15-oz can can drained and rinsed
- 1 10-oz can Rotel tomatoes
- 1 28-oz can fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 4-oz can diced green chiles
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
