Mississippi Chicken

This easy Mississippi chicken recipe is juicy, tender, and full of rich, buttery Southern flavor. Slow cooker or Instant Pot method — perfect weeknight dinner!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
  • 1 1-oz packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 1-oz packet au jus gravy mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cut into pats
  • 4-6 pepperoncini peppers juice is optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken in slow cooker or Instant Pot.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix over the chicken.
  • Top with butter and scatter pepperoncini peppers on top. Add a bit of pepperoncini juice if desired.
  • Slow Cooker: Cook on low 6–8 hours or high 3–4 hours.Instant Pot: Cook on high pressure 12–15 minutes, then quick release.
  • Once done, shred the chicken right in the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or your favorite sides — garnish with parsley.
