Ground Beef and Potatoes Recipe

Seasoned ground beef, crispy roasted potatoes, and onions cooked together with fresh herbs. The recipe is designed as a healthy high-protein comfort food meal using lean ground beef, simple spices, and golden pan-seared potatoes. Ingredients
  

  • lbs lean ground beef 90/10 preferred
  • lbs Yukon gold potatoes diced small
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 small bell pepper optional, diced

Optional Toppings

  • shredded cheese
  • parsely
  • green onions
  • cottage cheese
  • hot sauce

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add diced potatoes in a single layer. Season lightly with salt and pepper. If using bell pepper, cook with potatoes in this step.
  • Cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and fork tender.
  • Remove potatoes from skillet and set aside.
  • Add remaining olive oil and onion to skillet. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
  • Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  • Add ground beef and break apart while cooking.
  • Season with smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and ground black pepper.
  • Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked.
  • Add potatoes back into skillet and stir together.
  • Cook another 2–3 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Add optional cheese or toppings before serving.
