Crockpot Italian Meatball Sliders

Ingredients
  

For The Sliders

  • 1.5-2 lbs Italian ground beef Rolled into 24 meatballs or 24 frozen meatballs
  • 1 24-oz jar marinara sauce
  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • pinch of red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook the meatballs in the crockpot and pour the marinara sauce over the top. Stir to coat. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours until the meatballs are heated through and tender.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Without separating the rolls, slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls horizontally.
  • Place the bottom half onto a baking sheet or casserole dish.
  • Spoon a little sauce onto the rolls. Arrange the meatballs evenly over the buns and top with remaining sauce.
  • Sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan. Add the top half of the rolls.
  • Mix together melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Brush generously over the tops of the rolls.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking another 5-8 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Serve immediately.
