Sauce Ingredients
- 1 shallot chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 3 tbsp brown sugar dark or light
- 3-4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- sea salt to taste
- ground black pepper
- ½ cup cheddar cheese if desire, melt into your mixture before serving
- dill pick chips for topping, optional

Get Recipe Ingredients
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chopped shallot and the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
Add garlic, cook until fragrant. About 45 seconds to 1 minute.
Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste.
Season with sea salt and black pepper.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto Hawaiian buns and serve.
