Bakery-Style Banana Bread Recipe

This ultra moist banana bread recipe is soft, rich, and packed with real banana flavor. Made with brown sugar, butter, oil, and ripe bananas for the perfect bakery-style loaf that stays moist for days.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 medium overripe bananas mashed
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar or light brown
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Optional Mix-In's

  • chocolate chips
  • walnuts chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Whisk dry ingredients together.
  • Mash bananas in large bowl.
  • Add wet ingredients and whisk smooth.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  • Add chocolate chips or walnuts if desired.
  • Pour into loaf pan.
  • Bake 55–65 minutes. If the loaf becomes too brown on top, lay a piece of foil over the top. Don't fold the foil. The toothpick should come out with tender crumbs.
  • Cool completely before slicing.
