Best (not kidding) Chocolate Chip Cookies

Best (not kidding) Chocolate Chip Cookies

The only recipe you will ever need. An appropriate light crunch on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside. The notes of milk and dark chocolate bring this cookie to life! Watch now HERE!

The secret is the vanilla pudding mix. It helps bind everything together so you aren’t left with a flat cookie!

The longest part is letting the dough chill for one house, the best part is it freezes up to 1 month! I like to roll them into balls, freeze, and then pop them in the oven. A convenient cookie when I am desperately craving one!

Definitely let the cookie dough thaw after frozen, otherwise the baking time will take forever. Take a couple out while prepping dinner for the best results!

Chocolate Chip Cookie

  • Servings: 25-30cookies
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
  • 1 3.5-ounce instant vanilla pudding packet
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3/4 dark chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk flour, pudding packet, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Set aside
  2. In a standing mixture fitted with paddle or whisk attachment, combine softened butter and sugars together on high.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. turn beater on low, slowly add flour mixture. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  5. Fold in the chips. Bake now and skip to step number 7, or proceed to chill.
  6. Cover and place in refrigerator for 1 hour for dough to chill. (Or overnight)
  7. Pre-heat oven 350 degrees. Grease or line baking sheet with parchment.
  8. Scoop 1-1/2 inch balls, gently make a thumb print in the center about 1/8th of the way down. Place on cookie sheet baking 12 at a time. This helps the cookies bake evenly.
  9. Bake 10-11 minutes, remove and leave on cookie sheet for 1-2 minutes. They will continue to bake. This give the gooey middle and a slight crunch on the outside.
  10. Cool on cookie sheet and dunk in some milk! Enjoy!

  • Use any kinds of chips you like. I like the different percentages of chocolate but use what you enjoy!
  • Running low on ingredients? Use 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter and 1-1/2 cup flour. Everything else remains the same.
