I am stoked about these! An outer crust, medium loose crumb, 5 ingredients and a delicious recipe to add your own flavoring!
These have the same texture of cornbread but a healthier option. Add seeds, spices, cheese, etc, to complete your family meal. Best part, 20 minutes total time!
I added poppy seeds to mine, herb and cheese is a favorite around my kitchen. A way to get creative in the kitchen!
Check out the texture below, it is soft with that outer crisp. Just how a homemade biscuit should be!
The best thing since the beloved crescent rolls, a gluten-free option that will become a staple in your home from my table to yours!
For my favorite blueberry-jalapeno jam, check out my friend Anna on social media HERE, you will want to purchase some homemade products from her. The only jam I will ever buy again is all the way in Utah!
Almond Flour Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups almond flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Dash of salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/3 cup butter
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a small dish.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold in butter and eggs.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and toss between two hands to mold. This is a wet mixture so it is too messy to roll.
- Place onto baking sheet then gently flatten out the tops. This way it all bakes evenly.
- You should have 7 total. If you are going for 8, you will want to reduce the baking time to about 16 minutes.
- Bake 18-19 minutes.
- Remove, let set on pan for 1 minutes.
- Serve warm with your favorite jams, jellies, syrups, or make a breakfast sandwich. Anything goes with these biscuits!
