Taco Pasta

Taco Pasta

My favorite homemade taco seasoning with the box of macaroni and cheese to create the ultimate week night mac n’ cheese!

I have teamed up Good Citizens Company to bring you organic Mac N’ Cheese featuring a new twist that includes seasoning, protein, and delightful toppings.

This company pays special attention to details on their product, one reason I trust their brand. They use semolina flour, a traditional bronze dye cut to help hold the sauce better. This results for a cheesy bite every time. Their organic cheese is from pasture-fed cows, which mean they know EXACTLY where their ingredients is coming from. Wouldn’t you want to know, too?!

Visit their website at GoodCitizens.com and products here! For more recipes click on me!

They have whole wheat available in white and yellow cheese, shells and traditional macaroni noodles….AND non-whole-wheat shells and macaroni noodles. SoOoOoOoOo, there is something for everyone!

For a bread crumb topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Pre-heat oven to 350F, make mac n’ cheese according to box.
  • Place prepare cheese shells in skillet. Mix butter and panko crumbs together, top over skillet shells. Bake 10-12 minutes until topping is light brown. Yum!

I put my own spin to this recipe below by adding protein and a southwest, taco night vibe! An perfect flavorful dinner creating the new traditional in our house, Mac N’ Cheese Monday’s!
